Well my staircase / Railing Project is all finished.
First here are a few of the before pictures (please go look at the other blogs also as progress of the job)as you can see lighter drab wood and the painted silver rails..
And here are the final pictures of the After look,,Rails were done black and clear coated with a matte finish, and the wood was given a coat of poly shades just to darken them up some..Tge owner went back n forth on what to do with these, they even thought of replacing them with glass inserts..Upon my suggestions of this look surprisingly they went with my ideas and
now they love them..Please check the other step by step blogs on this project.
It looks beautiful although I still like the silver better!

I wished they would have let me take it down to the original stainless look , but they hated the silver color,,
