- This is a London broil that I made for my first time ever. Saw this piece meat at the store and figured lets try and create a meal.Being just a home cook and I watch many cooking/ chef shows and read lots recipes on line. I finally decided on what I may like and not like and came up with a recipe.
- Ingredients for my whiskey marinade
- Jack Daniels whiskey(1 cup)
- teaspoon pepper
- teaspoon salt
- Chopped Garlic
- teaspoon oregano
- tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- paprika
- tablespoon oil
- chopped onions
- I combine my ingredients and put in a freezer bag
- Took my London broil and made knife slices on both sides of meat(about 1/4 inch deep)
- I put meat in bag squeezed out air and put in refrigerator for 24 hour marinade.
- For my cooking process I used my outdoor grill,
- In center grill I put smokey wood chips to give flavor as I cooked my broil.
- after I heated the grill I turned off one side and slow cooked my broil on non lit side..
- i cooked to medium temperature for my liking , then let the broil rest for 10 minutes ,,
- as the meat was resting I fried up few onions for a topping..
- For side dish I made oven baked potatoes ( if you want recipe for those I can give to you)
- feel free to share any tips/ recipes for a home cook like me
